Apple has made communicating with people a lot easier. Who nowadays does not own an iPhone and has not enjoyed FaceTime? Even better is that iMessages have altered the way that people talk to other people, be it their family or friends. With iMessages, people can send messages or talk to each other across all Apple devices, including iPhones, iPad, or MacBooks. iMessages makes it more convenient to use, as when you are mobile, you can talk to your family and friends using your iPhone, if you are at your home or your office, you can talk to them using your Mac.
Fixing iMessage to run across all your Apple devices is much easier than having a cell phone repair for broken glass. You don’t need to go to your cell phone repair shop for that. What is important to remember is that on iOS all the steps are the same. On Mac OS X, there are a couple of small differences.
Still, some encounter difficulties with a certain feature. That is in syncing the messaging services across all Apple devices, including iOS devices and Mac computers running on OS X. Often, people encounter many complications when they deal with these various devices, and they try to get their iMessages synced. If you have been having these sorts of problems lately with iMessage, there is no need to fear, as there is always a solution.
Getting your iMessage synched across devices allows you to take a look at one device and able to read the message there. You don’t need to go to a specific device or wait until you get home to open you Message on your desktop. Synching Message across all your devices has also been extended to the Apple Watch. Some would say that the main point of the Apple Watch is to be the primary point of reading short messages. This is true, especially if you have to take your phone out of your pocket every time you have to read a message. A casual glance at the Apple Watch would show you the messages you have not read.
Initially, you’ll need to set up iMessage correctly. Check first if you have the correct Apple ID, and it should be the same across all devices. On your iPhone and iPad, click on the Settings app, click on messages, then tap on send and receive. Then afterward, double check that your email address shows up at the top next to your Apple ID. If it does not, simply click on this, and sign in with your Apple ID. Another thing that you will need to check is if your main phone number is chosen under the section named Start New Conversations From. You may do these on all your other iOS devices. This will let you send and receive iMessages.
For your Mac, it is bit different. You will need to open the Messages app. Select the Messages in the menu bar, which is in the top-left corner, and afterward, click on Preferences. Then, select on the Accounts tab, and then you will see your Apple ID email address on the sidebar. If it is not yet there, you may then select the plus (+) sign at the bottom, then go ahead and add your Apple ID.
Once you have added your Apple ID, you will then be able to view similar settings to that of the iOS device. You need to make sure that the “Enable This Account” is ticked, and of course, your phone number is there. There is also a Preferences pane, click on the “Start new conversation from.”
Okay, if you have done this and you have set up iMessage accurately, and you are still encountering some problems with syncing your Apple devices, Then maybe you will need to reset your iMessage. You’ll need to disable iMessage on your devices and re-enable it afterward.
For your iOS devices, you will need to go to the Settings tab, click on Messages, and toggle the iMessage off on all of these devices. On your Mac, however, you will need to open the Messages app, select on Messages, choose Preferences, Accounts. You will need to uncheck the Enable this account box, close out the Messages app, and then open it back and finally check it again.
It may sound paranoid, having to synchronize your messages across all your devices. However, the alternative does not make sense either. If you had different to use different accounts on different devices, you would easily lose any important message. The point of iMessage is that it can allow you to read your communications from any device.
You need to give your iMessages a few minutes to sync and communicate with each other. Still, don’t worry, as it will all be ready to go, and you will have no more worries.
Of course, there are other messaging apps and programs. You can also synchronize your messaging app across the different devices. There is now a fine line between differentiating the iMessage from other apps. In most cases, there are more new features on other apps. This is possible because they were introduced much later than the Message. It also started out as an Apple-centric app. Nowadays, most apps try to launch on both Apple devices and Android, as well as on the desktop, or via a browser. The latter option helps to ensure that even if you do not download the app, you are still in constant communication with your contacts.Google+
